Privacy policy

Clearsight: AI Shopping Visibility ("Clearsight", "we") is a Shopify app made by Akash Randive, trading as DecisionsCalc. This policy explains what information the app uses when a merchant installs it, and what happens to it.

Information about your customers

None. The app doesn't request access to customers or orders and adds nothing to your storefront.

Information about your store

• Product verdicts: for each product we store its id, status, category id, the reason codes our checks found (for example "no image"), a quality score, whether it is in Shopify's AI catalog with Shopify's category id, and when we checked. We read titles, descriptions and images to run the checks but do not store them (only a short hash of the title, to notice changes).
• Fix log: when you click a fix, we record the field, its old value and its new value (for example a status, category, brand, barcode, option name or image alt text) so you can undo it for 30 days.
• Store settings and history: your plan, the AI channels you chose, your answers to the store questions, the email address for digests if you add one, store facts used by the checks (plan type, countries you ship to, policies filled in or not, sales channels) and daily totals for the trend chart.
• Login sessions: to connect the app to your store, Shopify gives us an access token for your shop. We store your shop's domain and this token so the app can work. We delete them when you uninstall.
• Help requests: when you use the in-app help form we keep your message, the reply-to email you give us and a snapshot of your scan results for up to 90 days. Deleted when you uninstall.

Shopify's AI catalog

To tell you whether a product is really in Shopify's AI catalog, we look it up in your store's public catalog endpoint, the same way an AI shopping agent does, identifying ourselves with a public profile at apps.decisionscalc.com. We keep only the yes/no answer and Shopify's category id, not the catalog content.

What we don't do

No ads, no tracking scripts, nothing added to your storefront, and no selling or sharing of data.

Emails

On Pro and Scale we email a weekly digest and, on Scale, alerts when products drop out of the AI catalog, to your store email or the address you choose. You can change or remove it in the app.

Billing

Paid plans are billed by Shopify. We never see your payment details.

Data requests and deletion

We respond to Shopify's privacy requests (customer data requests, customer redaction and shop redaction). Because we hold no customer data, there is nothing to export or delete for shoppers. When you uninstall, your login sessions and help requests are deleted at once and everything else (product verdicts, fix log, history, settings) within 48 hours, when Shopify sends its shop redaction request. You can ask us to delete anything at any time by writing to support@decisionscalc.com.

Where data is processed

Data is stored with Cloudflare, Inc. on its global network (Workers KV, D1 and Queues); emails are sent through Cloudflare. Help requests are also delivered to our support mailbox (Gmail). We are based in India.
