Why would Shopify leave my products out of AI shopping?
Shopify only sends products that meet its rules to its AI catalog: active, published to the Online Store, with a category, an image and a price, not hidden from search, and not in one of 16 excluded categories (Uncategorized among them). Products that break a rule are dropped silently; Shopify only shows a store-wide count.
Which AI channels does this cover?
ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot, which get products from Shopify Catalog (agentic storefronts), and Gemini and Google AI Mode, which use Google Merchant Center plus Shopify Catalog eligibility. You choose which ones matter to you.
Does it promise more sales from AI?
No. Shopify and the AI companies decide what AI answers show. We make sure nothing in your data keeps a product out, and we show you whether each product is really in Shopify's AI catalog.
Is it another SEO or llms.txt app?
No, and it works alongside any of them. Clearsight does one job: product by product, can AI shoppers find and buy it, and if not, why, and fix it.
What does the free plan include?
The store checklist and a full audit of every product with reasons, a live AI-catalog check of your 50 most important products, and 25 one-click fixes a month. It never shrinks.
Will it change my products without asking?
Never. The audit is read-only. Products change only when you click a fix, every change is logged first, and you can undo it for 30 days.
My store sells outside the US. Does it help?
ChatGPT and Copilot shopping need a store that sells to the US; Gemini, to the US, Canada or Australia. Your store can be based anywhere. If you don't sell there yet, we tell you on install instead of upselling you.
What data do you keep?
Only our verdicts: product ids, status, reason codes and whether each is in the AI catalog. No titles, descriptions, images, customers or orders. Everything is deleted within 48 hours of uninstalling.
